MANILA SOUTHWOODS MANOR

The Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club is at the forefront of the golf club industry in the Philippines.

The Club's two (2) Championship Jack Nicklaus Signature golf courses, The Legends and The Masters are the first ever golf courses designed by no less than the legend himself in the Philippines.

The sprawling 140-hectares that make up Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club, for the exclusive use of its members, is located in Carmona, Cavite approximately 30 kms. south of Makati, Metro Manila. These two-(2) golf courses were the first of many constructed by the leader of golf course development in the country, Fil-Estate Golf and Development Incorporated. State of the art golf course construction was implemented to provide all weather golfing conditions. A weather station and a computerized irrigation system further insures year round golfing enjoyment. The course was scientifically designed with the environment in mind and has an extensive drainage system that captures surface water and funnels it back to the lakes to recycle water.

The focal point of the clubs facilities is the Main Clubhouse that is perched over the 18th green, the 10th hole and the 9th island green of the Masters Course. The Club has a Verandah dining area, an air-conditioned bar, a fine dining area, men's and ladies locker rooms complete with jacuzzi's, saunas and bar. In addition, the club also has a ballroom and other function rooms for the use of its members.

Adjacent to the Main Clubhouse is the Legends Clubhouse that is used for member sponsored corporate tournaments. The Legends Clubhouse also comes complete with locker rooms for men and ladies with sauna and massage services.

The Manila Southwoods Golf and Country Club has a growing history of staging the country and the world's major golfing events. Both the Masters and the Legends Courses are designed especially for tournament play. With its amazing landscape, and its dramatic and tranquil ambiance, Manila Southwoods captured the hearts of golfers not only here in the Philippines but also from different parts of the world. Both the Legends and the Masters had the distinction of hosting the following major tournaments: The 1993, 1994, 1996 and 1999 Philippine Opens; The 1996 and 1997 Mitsubishi-Southwoods Open; The 1996 World Amateur Golf Team Championships and the 1999 Kosaido Ladies Open.
